Are you aware of how God has been ministering to you recently? Has another believer Biblically encouraged you? Has another believer Biblically pointed you to the hope of God’s promises? Has another believer’s example spurred you on in your walk with Christ? Has another believer Biblically rebuked you? We often miss how God is at work in our lives because we only see the messenger. However, with eyes of faith we can see God encouraging us, pointing us to His promises, spurring us on in our walk with Christ, or rebuking us. Having this kind of faith to see God at work in our lives through others is very Biblical. Just ponder what Paul says in 2 Corinthians 7:6-7:   But God, who comforts the depressed, comforted us by the coming of Titus;  7 and not only by his coming, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted in you, as he reported to us your longing, your mourning, your zeal for me; so that I rejoiced even more. This is a major reason why it is so important to prioritize gathering together. It is as we gather as the church that God works through each person to accomplish something in each of our lives. But just gathering doesn’t cut it does it? We need to gather walking by the Spirit so that we might be used by God in one another’s lives. We must stimulate one another to love and good deeds by encouraging one another (Hebrews 10:24-25). Gather tomorrow night for Bible study and prayer and on the Lord’s Day this week knowing that God will be at work in your life through the other believers around you-your good and His glory is at stake.
